#18 Masculine vs Feminine Energy Is Outdated — Here’s What Replaces It

Welcome back, beautiful soul.

Today, we’re stepping into a conversation that has been brewing inside me for years — because it’s one of those topics that shapes the entire manifestation world… yet the language around it is long past its expiration date.

We’re talking about what most people call masculine and feminine energetics.

But let me be very clear right from the start:

This language is outdated. It’s inaccurate.

And frankly? It’s insulting.

Let me tell you why.

The personal development world loves to romanticize these terms, as if they’re truths passed down through sacred lineage and depends on the gender and your chromosomes.

They’re not.

They’re relics.

Leftovers from a time when the world ran on rigid gender roles:

Men worked.

They hustled to make it happen

Men provided.

Men “did.”

Women stayed home.

Women nurtured.

Women “felt.”

We were the emotional ones.

So of course, the personal development world started calling the emotional, intuitive, internal qualities “feminine”…

and the strategic, directive, action-oriented qualities “masculine.”

It wasn’t spiritual truth — it was cultural bias dressed up as energetics.

Souls do not have genders.
Energy does not have genders.
The universe doesn’t sort frequencies by chromosomes.

So why are we still doing it?

That’s not empowerment.

That’s not evolution.

And that sure as hell is not manifestation.

This terminology has rubbed me the wrong way since the first time I heard it — because it diminishes all of us. If you ask me, it’s insulting to both genders.

And when we repeat that language today, we unconsciously anchor ourselves to a worldview where women were only allowed to be soft… and men were only allowed to be strong.

Now, I know people in the manifestation community will say it has nothing to do with gender.

Ok, great, then let’s ditch the outdated terminology in favor of some better terminology that represents the ability of any human and the need for various techniques in manifestation.

Let’s talk about what these states actually are from a brain and nervous system perspective.

When people say “masculine energy,” they’re usually describing executive functioning — the prefrontal cortex working at full power:

  • Goal setting

  • Strategic thinking

  • Decision making

  • Taking action

  • Holding direction

This is your brain’s CEO.

And when they say “feminine energy,” they’re usually describing the default mode network, the emotional and intuitive circuitry:

  • Creativity

  • Imagination

  • Visioning

  • Emotional processing

  • Sensitivity to subtle cues

This is the part of your brain that lets you dream, feel, and connect dots beyond logic.

All humans have both.
All humans need both.
These are not “male” and “female” functions — these are human functions.

Renaming these states isn’t just a matter of social sensitivity.

It’s neurological accuracy.

If you want to manifest with intention… you must master both states. No exceptions.

The Alignment State

(Formerly labeled “feminine”)

This is where you connect to the emotional frequency of your future.
Where you:

  • Visualize your desired life

  • Feel the gratitude ahead of time

  • Tune into possibility

  • Regulate your nervous system

  • Hold the vibration of what you desire

This is not optional.
If you can’t feel the future, you can’t attract it.

Manifestation starts in emotion — because emotion is the messenger your subconscious uses to decide what reality to filter for.

When you generate gratitude before the thing arrives?

Your brain releases dopamine and primes your Reticular Activating System to start noticing opportunities aligned with that outcome.

You become magnetic.

This is powerful.
This is strength.
This is creation.

And it has nothing to do with being “feminine.”

The Action State

(Formerly labeled “masculine”)

This is where you take aligned action — the kind that moves the needle because it’s coming from identity, not desperation.

This is where you:

  • Decide

  • Commit

  • Show up

  • Move forward

  • Make the call

  • Build the thing

  • Say yes

  • Say no
  • You take action to make it happen

  • Take responsibility for your reality

Your brain shifts into executive functioning and strengthens neural pathways that match your chosen identity.

From your beliefs, you take Action

That aligned action eventually turns into results in the 3d world

This creates evidence that then strengthens your beliefs.

Remember that your identity is rooted in your beliefs.

And identity is the engine of manifestation.

But again — this has nothing to do with being “masculine.”

This is being human.
This is being intentional.
This is being the architect of your own life.

Here’s the part nobody wants to talk about:

Labeling emotional intelligence as “feminine” and action-taking as “masculine” keeps us psychologically stuck in outdated social roles.

It reinforces:

  • that women are “supposed to” be soft

  • that men are “supposed to” be strong

  • that emotional work is feminine

  • that leadership is masculine

  • that being passive and receiving is feminine

  • that creating is masculine

It’s the same worldview that created the “housewife era” — where women were only allowed one half of their power.

No wonder the language feels wrong.
It is wrong.

These energies belong to all of us.
And assigning them to genders reduces them.

You are a full-spectrum being — a soul with access to every frequency.

It’s time our words reflect that.

The New Language of Energetic Mastery

Here’s the shift I’m inviting you into…
the upgrade your soul has probably been waiting for:

We’re renaming these energies.

Not to be trendy.
Not to be politically correct.
But to be spiritually and neurologically accurate.

Here are terms that honor the truth:

The alignment state

The action state

These pairs don’t carry stereotypes.
They carry power.
They describe the actual mechanics of how manifestation works.

Alignment is where it begins.

You get emotionally honest about what you want. You visualize yourself in the role, running the business, living the day-to-day reality of it. You feel the confidence, the fulfillment, the freedom. You cultivate gratitude before the promotion, before the income, before the external proof exists.

Neurologically, this matters.
You’re teaching your brain that this future is safe, familiar, and available. Your nervous system softens instead of bracing. Your Reticular Activating System starts filtering for opportunities that match this identity.

But here’s the truth most people avoid:

If you stay in Alignment alone—journaling, visualizing, feeling inspired—but never update your résumé, you never apply for a new position, you never have the conversation, you never launch the offer, never raise your hand…
nothing changes.

Alignment without Action becomes imagination.

Now flip it.

Action without Alignment looks like grinding.
You apply for jobs you don’t want. You start businesses from fear. You chase strategies without clarity. You take steps, but they feel heavy, scattered, or desperate.

Your nervous system is dysregulated. Your brain is operating from survival instead of vision.

Action without Alignment becomes force.

Manifestation happens when Alignment sets the direction—and Action brings it into form.
One creates the signal. The other delivers the outcome.

Together, they create momentum that feels inevitable.

We need both of these states to intentionally manifest what we want.

Just taking action doesn’t guarantee you will reach your goal. The energy behind it has to be a match.

As you move through your week, I want you to watch yourself with new eyes.

Ask yourself:

1. “Am I emotionally aligned with the outcome I say I want?”

This checks Alignment.

Observe both your thoughts and your emotional state.
Are you operating from trust, gratitude, and possibility…
or from urgency, frustration, and lack?

2. “What action would the version of me who already has this take today?”

This bridges Alignment into Action.

This question shifts you out of reaction and into identity.
It stops busywork and highlights aligned movement — not hustle.

Neuroscience shows that identity-based action reinforces belief faster than affirmation ever could.
When your action matches your future self, you collapse time.

Small action. Clear direction. Powerful signal.

3. “Am I forcing an outcome… or allowing it to meet me halfway?”

This checks the balance.

Force feels heavy.
Allowance feels grounded.

If you’re gripping the outcome, micromanaging the timeline, or emotionally attached to how it must happen — you’ve tipped out of alignment.

Allowance doesn’t mean doing nothing.
It means trusting that aligned action plus openness creates momentum without burnout.

When you start to put these practices in play the aligning state and the action state you will strengthen you abilities to manifest.

With this,  manifestation stops being confusing — and starts becoming predictable.

This is your evolution.
This is the upgrade.
This is where your power expands from ordinary to extraordinary. ✨

Because the moment you stop gendering energy…
you free yourself to embody all of it.

And that is when you become unstoppable.
