Episode #15 Unintentional VS Attentional Manifesting: The Results You Don’t Realize You’re Creating

Welcome back to the Let’s Manifest Podcast. I’m your host, Dr. Alissa Esposito — and today we’re going somewhere big. Somewhere revealing. Somewhere that may shake you awake in the best possible way.

Because whether you realize it or not… you’re manifesting right now. You’ve been manifesting all day. 

The question isn’t if you’re manifesting.

It’s whether you’re doing it intentionally or unintentionally.

And once you understand the difference?

Your entire life stops running on default… and starts responding to your design.

Let’s review what manifestation means

  • It’s bringing things from the invisible to the visible through a natural progression.
  • The act of making something happen by taking it from an idea and making it into reality.

Everything is created twice.First in your mind then in the 3D reality

Here’s the truth most people miss:

Manifestation isn’t a switch you flip on when you pull out your journal.

It’s not an app you open only on good days.

Manifestation is the physics of your reality — the ongoing feedback loop between your identity, your self-image, your emotions, your expectations, and the actions they generate.

You are manifesting the same things over and over because:

  • Have same Thoughts
  • Taking same actions
  • In same belief
  • In same energy
  • Ultimately, you are in the same identity .
  • You are getting the same results and there for nothing really changes.

 

So if your thoughts are scattered…if your nervous system is fried…if you’re operating from doubt, fear, or contraction…

You’re still manifesting — just not what you want.

That’s unintentional manifesting:

When your unconscious beliefs, old patterns, and emotional default states are quietly running the show and sculpting your future.

 

Unintentional manifesting sounds like this:

  • “Why does this keep happening to me?”
  • “I knew this wouldn’t work.”
  • “This is just how things are.”
  • “This always happens.”

Every time you repeat these stories, you reinforce a vibration, which reinforces a belief, which reinforces an identity — and your outer world obliges. Not because you’re broken, but because the subconscious mind is efficient. It automates whatever you rehearse.

Unintentional manifestation is the life you live by default.

It’s the life built from:

  • Autopilot thinking
  • Inherited beliefs
  • Emotional residue
  • Blocks from your past
  • Fears you never challenged

It’s powerful — but it’s passive. And passive power creates patterns… not breakthroughs.

So, if you feel like you are stuck and nothing seems to ever change in your life, then you are out of alignment with what you are manifesting and what you WANT to manifest. 

Intentional manifestation is the opposite.

It’s when you take the wheel of your own inner world.

It begins with awareness:

“What am I rehearsing mentally?

What am I preparing my future to look like?”

 

Then choice:

  • “Is this the energy of the person I’m becoming… or the person I’ve been?”

Then alignment:

your thoughts, emotions, vision, and identity all moving in the same direction — like a laser focused light instead of a flashlight swinging around.

This is how you bend reality.

This is how you collapse timelines.

This is how you design a future that feels like a match for your highest self ✨

Intentional manifesting doesn’t mean forcing. It means deciding. It’s remaining in belief. It’s taking aligned action in that belief. 

It means holding the frequency of your desire long enough for reality to rearrange itself around you.

Let’s make this real.

Let’s look at what you have manifested in the past?

Our brains like explanations.

  • What is something you intentionally wanted in the past?  
  • How did you get it?

Finding evidence gives our brains encouragement, validation, belief, it helps to diminish doubt

I’ll share some examples from before I knew anything about HOW to manifest. What it took to manifest: 

Last episode I talked about how I manifested the home we live in today. We were driving through a neighborhood and were not ready to buy a home but I remember just falling in love with the neighborhood and the park and wishing I could be living here one day. I visualized it. 

During our home search the current house we were in, the bank dropped the price 100k and it fell into our budget.

In grad school

I wanted to win some academic awards. They came with some money which I used towards my tuition and living expenses.

Instinctively, I did what it took to BE the person who was worthy of the award.  

I didn’t just DO the things. I WAS the person. 

This is part of manifestation.

It’s not all about the action and the hustle. 

It’s about taking on the identity, the beliefs and energy of that person. 

So think about some things you have wanted and gotten in your life. Those are manifestations.

 

Let’s take a money example:

Unintentional:

  • You check your account, feel contraction, tell yourself it’s never enough. That emotional state cues scarcity-based decisions… which create more scarcity.

Intentional:

  • You set a clear income goal, shift into the emotional state of expectancy, and act like a woman who knows more is on the way. Your brain opens, your energy expands, a part of your brain called the reticular activating system is now primed to scan for evidence and possibilities that come your way. Aligning with this energy then opportunities surface.

 

Example: Relationships

Unintentional:

  • You assume you’ll be disappointed because that’s what history taught you. You read every situation through old wounds.

If you have those thoughts what will you create?  Your  RAS part of your brain will scan for evidence that it’s true. You will continuously find more things to be disappointed in the next time you go on a date. 

More reasons that that this guy isn’t the one, more evidence that your parter isn’t out there. Which only strengthens your belif that it’s never going to happen for you. 

Intentional:

  • You elevate your self-concept, set standards, open your heart — and choose from worthiness instead of fear.

Example: Health / Body

Unintentional:

  • You say “I’m just not that kind of person,” so you never try.
    • That thought causes us to self sabotage. 
    • It keeps us stuck. It’s a very disempowered thought. 

From that thought is we create or strengthen the bad habits, the over eating, drinking, not going to the gym. 

Intentional:

  • You embody the identity of a woman who honors her vitality — and your behaviors follow.
  • Intentional manifesting is when we choose what we want to have in our life.
  • We become aware of our automatic thoughts. 

We don’t automatically believe them. 

We want to question them. 

We decide and chose to think something else. Something more empowering, something more positive, something that gets us in the frequency of the life that we want. 

When we shift our thoughts we then shift our emotions, we take different actions and ge get different results. 

 

When we choose our thoughts that align with what we want then  

3D reality follows.

 

Your identity — the person you believe you are — is the control center for everything you manifest.

Unintentional identity says:

  • “This is who I’ve always been.”

Intentional identity says:

  • “This is who I am choosing to embody or be”

The brain responds to repetition. The universe responds to vibration. Your life responds to identity.

This means you don’t manifest what you want. You manifest what you expect. (your thoughts and beliefs).You manifest what you embody.What you believe yourself worthy of receiving.

When you shift identity, your energetic signature shifts with it — and life rearranges.

Have you seen those shirts good vibes only?

Well one of the common misconceptions about manifesting is that you can’t have one negative thought, one bad day, you can’t be in a bad mood… you have to be in good vibes only.

I’m sure you agree that it’s nearly impossible to be in a good mood 100% of the time. We are human after all. 

So the good news is, It’s your dominate mood, identity, that manifests. 

Here’s your moment.

Ask yourself:

  • Am I creating from intention…or programming my future from autopilot?

Because every thought is an order. Every emotion is an instruction. Every story you repeat is a blueprint for the next chapter of your life.

You deserve a life created on purpose — not inherited from the past.

You’re powerful enough to choose.

You’re brave enough to shift.

And you’re ready — I know you are — to become the woman who crafts her reality consciously and unapologetically ✨
