Episode #5: How Emotions Influence Your Manifestations

Then this episode is for you!

I’ve got a reality check for you. You don’t manifest what you want. 

 

Wouldn't it be nice if manifestation was as simple as Uber Eats or Amazon rime? You want something, you order it and it shows up at your door. 

 

It would be amazing if manifestation worked liked that.  Where you request something of the universe and it just magically shows up in your life?  

 

Well, unfortunately, it’s not that simple. 

 

Manifesting requires thought, clarity, aligned emotions and to take aligned inspired action. 

 

So today we are going to talk about emotions and how they are integral in the manifestation process. 

 

Perhaps you have heard the quote: you don't manifest what you want you manifest who you are being. 

 

What does that quote tell us: 

  1. It means we just don’t manifest on thought alone.
  2. Having one negative thought won’t jinx you, cancel your request of the universe or block your manifestation.
  3. That it takes more than thought, it takes a shift in our energy, identity and consciousness.

 

The universe responds to our energy: our emotions, our thoughts and our actions this comprises WHO we are being, your dominant emotions, your intentions behind your actions, and your faith.  

  Why do some things seem so effortless to manifest?

  1. You are in 100% faith it will come to you. 

-This likely depends on what you are trying to manifest and how big it is, and your experience in manifesting things. 

  • How much you believe it.  I’m guessing your brain probably thinks it’s easier to  manifest a free lunch than a 20K check in the mail. 
  • While it’s all the same in the quantum as far as the potential to happen, it’s the human aspect of managing our belief is where we limit ourselves. 
  • Growing your belief, faith, and manifestation muscles, we will call it for a lack of better terms, comes with time and practice.  
  • The more experience you have with intentionally manifesting what you want the easier it becomes to believe that you CAN do this, that you CAN manifest big things, that you CAN choose what you want to experience in life. 

 

  1. Another reason that it comes easily is that  you have detached from a state of needing it. 
    1. This means your emotions behind it are likely:
      • Certainty 
      • Confidence
      • Gratitude
      • Abundance
      • Impartial 
      • You are unattached  
    2. If you need it, it means you are in lack:
      • Scarcity, needy, lack, energy

 

  1. You are already in alignment energetically or a match for this to occur. 

 

Other things can feel hard to manifest:    Why?

There are numerous reasons.

 

Here’s a few:

  • If it’s something that’s big and not something that your current self thinks possible or current identity is capable of then it will not manifest. 
    • We talked about belief and the amount of belief for a large manifestation. - if you don’t believe it, you are in the energy state of doubt.
    • Remember that in order to manifest new things or things at a different level you need to shift your identity. 
    • You can’t think, act and do the same things and expect to get different results. (remember manifesting isn’t just about the thinking)

 

Let’s look at it from the emotional standpoint: 

 

  • You Need it >>> emotion fueling it is > desperation, frustration, or lack

The universe says yes.. Here is more needing it

  • You aren’t sure it will come >> emotion behind it uncertain

The Universe says here is more uncertainty

  • You don’t think you can have it >> emotion behind it unworthy

Here is more unworthiness

  • You are unsure what you want >> confusion & overwhelm 

You stay confused.  (the universe doesn’t know what to give you)

  • You want more because it’s not enough  >> scarcity 

Here’s is more not enough-ness , more scarcity



I once wrote an article about goal fuel on my blog. 

 

It was about what was driving you and pushing you towards your goal. 

 

Let's think about food as fuel. You can put in some really crappy processed food, full of preservatives, chemicals, fillers, sugar, refined, stripped down white flour. Yes, it’s fuel for your body but does it do for you the same thing that a meal of nutrient-dense whole foods would do for you? No. Your your energy doesn’t last very long.  You crash and burn. Over time your body starts to break down because it’s not fueled properly and you just dont get the results that you want. 

 

It wasn’t until I started to study energy that I realized why I wasn’t reaching my goal.

My fuel (aka energy and emotions) was coming from frustration, force, pushing, from a place of hating where I was.  

 

While having drive is a very helpful emotion, if your drive is coming from a negative place that you just want to run from, you are likely not going to be able to escape that energy loop.

 

What was I getting? What was I manifesting? More of the same. More things to be frustrated about, which caused me more frustration and just perpetuated a cycle of being stuck. 

 

Remember the reticular activating system we talked about last episode?  When you are in the emotion of frustration your RAS is going to find more evidence of things that frustrate you.

 

So while you don’t have to be in “high vibes” or stay positive 100% of the time. (that’s a common manifestation myth by the way) You do need to watch your dominant emotions. This is why emotions aren’t just reactions—they’re signals to the universe!

 

Are you staying in that state of lack, self-pity, anger, frustration, resentment? Do you have desperation breath when you get on a sales call with someone?  

 

People don't need to be intuitive to feel your energy.  You can walk into a room where 2 people have just had a heated argument and you can feel the tension in the air. 

 

When you are in these emotions people don’t want to engage and hang out with you. They don’t want to help you, they don’t want to sit and listen to your self-pity story, they don’t want to date you, they don’t want to work with you or buy from you.  

 

We are souls in a human body and having a human experience.  Emotions are part of the human experience. I’m not saying you can never experience these emotions. What I am saying is it’s important that you recognize when you are in these emotions. Take steps to process your emotions so that they don’t become your dominant state of energy. 

 

When you are feeling a negative emotion it’s helpful just to pause for a moment and know:

  1. It’s just an emotion - and emotions are just vibrations in your body
  2. It’s temporary - acknowledging the emotion, allowing the emotion, breathing into the emotion, letting it move through your body and out of your body to process it. 

 

Think of emotions like a beach ball in water. Holding them back constantly is like trying to push a beach ball under water,  while all it’s doing it’s trying to pop up. The harder you push it down, the deeper that ball is under the water the more it wants to just come to the surface. 

 

Having times where we experience low emotional vibrations such as sadness… make possible the opposite emotion such as bliss. This is called the law of opposites.  

 

If we never experienced grief would we ever be able to experience love? 

 

What can be very challenging is being around your “triggers” and learning to overcome them. Not falling into the default emotional state that they have created in your past. To respond rather than react, or decide that you have the capacity to 

 

Sometimes you just have to let go rather than to fix what’s triggering you. You may need to put yourself in a new environment.  You can’t change people. They have to want to change. It’s very difficult to get people to see things from your unique perspective. Remember they have their own perspective and free will as well, and what is a problem to you may not be a problem to them. 



Let’s shift to some emotions that aid us in our manifestations.

 

We talked about certainty in regard to faith and belief. We also talked about determination, desire, and drive. 

 

Courage is a great one. 

Knowing that you can do something, despite feeling the fear. 

 

What about hope?

While hope has a lightness about it - in that you aren’t as attached to the outcome it has a subtext of I’m not really certain that it will happen. 

 

Fear is an interesting emotion. 

Ultimately it exists to try to keep us safe. 

We have to use our prefrontal cortex to decide is this fear is something that is a real threat or is it coming from the discomfort of doing something new?

By getting outside your comfort zone and growing.  

If all fear was bad we would all live very small lives, taking very few risks, not growing in our skills, not taking risks such as starting your business, changing your career, going skiing, sailing around the world or moving to a new country.

I have fear around making videos, and putting my podcast out.I suppose it comes down to a fear of benign seen, a fear of being judged. But I did it anyway. I’m expanding my capacity, I’m learning and growing and becoming more resilient. 

 

Are those 2 things going to kill me .. no. But they are pushing me out of my comfort zone. Believe me, the recovering perfectionist in me sees the mistakes, and I'm choosing to proceed anyway because otherwise nothing ever will get put out. 

 

I am ebmodying the version of me who just does this, because I have people to help. I have souls to inspire, to help them grow, to teach them and watch them manifest a life that they love. Step into their purpose to help others and improve this world. It’s a ripple effect. 

 

If I gave into my fears I couldn’t help them and they couldn’t help others. Maybe there’s someone out there today who needed to hear my message and in turn someone out there that needs to hear their message. What if I chose to stay safe and play small in my comfort zone. None of this would exist.  This is an example of taking aligned and inspired action. 



Now for the ultimate manifesting emotion. —-

Gratitude 

I know you have seen gratitude journals around forever. What’s so magical about gratitude you may be wondering. 

 

Gratitude it means something has already happened.  We express this emotion after receiving something. 

 

When it comes to manifesting it’s signals to the universe that it’s already done. That you are a match for that experience. 

This is why you will see gratitude as part of my manifestation practice. It’s part of the daily exercise I have in the Manifestation journal that I give my clients. 

 

Each day I have gratitude for what I have in my life currently and I have gratitude ahead of time for what I am manifesting. Or what’s already created in the 4d or quantum field. 

 

This is the energy that draws it to you. 

 

Be grateful for that which you have and that which is already coming to you.
